I’ve tried all of the recommended solutions like installing the service packs for SQL Server and Report Server, and also updating the report viewer. The ActiveX print control does not have any practical value, and does more harm than good anyway.

Which version of Reporting services are u running? Note that downloading an ActiveX control requires administrator permissions. Also, for some clients that are local administrators, they are prompted every time to install the ActiveX control when they click print.
